Research standards

Traceable by design.

Our work separates evidence, modeling assumptions, interpretation, and judgment so readers can see how a conclusion was formed.

01

Primary evidence first.

We prioritize government statistics, regulatory filings, standards bodies, national laboratories, system operators, and original technical documentation.

02

Claims carry provenance.

Material quantitative claims link to a source. Report notes identify publication date, definitions, and the limits of the underlying data.

03

Scenarios are not forecasts.

When uncertainty is structural, we examine credible conditions and identify which decisions remain robust across them.

04

Judgment stays visible.

Engineer View synthesis is labeled as analysis. We do not present inference, advocacy, or commercial opinion as measured fact.

Analytical workflow

From record to decision.

Establish

Define the system.

Boundary, time horizon, unit of analysis, stakeholder, and decision.

Source

Build the record.

Collect primary evidence and document material gaps or conflicts.

Represent

Make structure explicit.

Map variables, constraints, dependencies, uncertainty, and timing.

Challenge

Test where answers change.

Use scenarios, sensitivity checks, and competing explanations.

Interpret

Connect evidence to action.

State what the record supports, what it does not, and the next decision.
